San Diego Photography presents When our family had nothing....

When we didn't have grocery money, people gave it...

When we didn't know how we would buy our kiddos a gift or 2 for Christmas, people gave it...

When we weren't sure we could pay our rent, people gave it...

And the Tolson family doesn't ever want to stop giving... ever! So, I am asking for you to nominate a deserving family for an absolutely free Portrait session with me. Because my Christmas portrait season is nearly over, this will be done in January. It must be someone who doesn't have the ability to use my services at this time, and you can't nominate yourself. Shoot me an email and tell me their story.. hurry though.. the nominee will be chosen on Christmas Day! :) (I have been known to give the nominating party a free session as well.. hint, hint...)

Here are a few more people who are listening to the true meaning of the season and giving to those who are in need....

She gave a goat...

They are donating cans galore for every comment they receive... Go!

So.. do you know a family who has nothing, and is in need. I am here willing to help them catch a memory..Please email me at contactme@sarahtolsonphotography.com and tell me about them. :)

People...Give it!

Love Blessing..

Almost a decade ago, I was living under a bridge in Riverside County. I was homeless for over four years while I struggled with my drug addiction. I grew up in a sexually abusive home, only to find myself stuck in a never ending cycle of hopelessness and abuse as an adult. After spending a year in jail, I knew I had to make a change. I decided to humble myself and ask Jesus Christ to help me. Immediately, several doors opened a path to freedom. I was allowed to go into several discipleship programs, get clean and sober, and turn my life experience into a ray of hope for other addicts. I threw myself into full time ministry, without pay, and earned the opportunity to journey overseas. From Mexico to The Philippines, I traveled the world doing humanitarian work, such as planting vegetable gardens in Swaziland, Africa. I have lived and worked at several rehabilitation programs where I found myself leading, mentoring, and encouraging many young women. I have made it a way of life to help. As of today, I have almost 10 years clean and sober, the same amount of time I have spent in service to my community

At 35 years old, I married a loving man, David Orona, and moved to San Diego County. I was starting a whole new life, and this new life included a college education. It was very difficult to go back to school, but without an actual degree, all my “good intentions” to counsel others would not get me very far. I must have credentials, or my story of recovery and hope will not reach many people. I just graduated with my AA with a 4.0. That is definitely Jesus Christ. During the 2006-2007 year, I elected not to receive my financial aid to stay home and be a new mother. I returned to school when my son was 12 months old, managing to attend at night and online. Because of my diligence, even with the challenge of a new baby, I found myself on the President’s List once again. I have never gotten less than an A in any of my classes. I struggle, but I do not give up. I just got home from blessing many women at a ranch in Perris California with this exact testimony and a women's recovery home in Lemon Grove. Every time I plead with God for our situation, He tells me we are blessed abundantly! My husband just hasn't worked in over 10 weeks. I don't know what we will do, but we are living on less than 12,000 a year for a family of three. Jesus has been merciful to allow me to receive financial aid, go to college and get paid for it, bless others, and that is what has brought us through this crisis. I wanted to bless my husband, David Orona, with portraits of our son for Christmas but we just can't afford it. When Judy emailed me about this opportunity, I just couldn't hold back from sharing this story with you all too. God is great and I don't know what is around the next corner, but I know Who is in control. God Bless your photography ministry! Romans 1:16
